I'm Shaped Part III

Hello all, as I conclude this series of "I'm shaped", I must say that it has helped me grow. It has given me a better understanding of who I'am. I see a need even now to accept who I am. When others "can't stand me", I can love me because God has shaped me in a unique way.

Personality

There isn't anybody in the world that has your personality. However, some may have similiar character traits, but they do not process your inner being. Who we are today is an application of the lessons we learned from yesterday's mistakes. You and I might of made the same mistakes but we have learned different lessons from it. That is why we all are different. We all think differently.

Brice Point: Since we all think and act differently, we need to accept one another's personalities. Over and over again, people run to me and inform me that "so and so" can't stand them or dislikes them. There are times when individuals inform me that others dislike me. I have to let them know that "I'm not perfect!" Who I am is an application from the lessons I learned from my mistakes. I can't help it that I come from Adam! I have dustly character traits.

Accept who you are. Love who you are. Accept who other's are. Love other's.

Experience

Experiences isn't moments in life you run from. Experiences are moments in life you learn from. I use to think that I should forget about my past and never bring it up. I thought if I can forget my past then I would be able to do better and never repeat the same mistakes again.
Question: How can you avoid future mistakes without remembering past mistakes? If you forget your mistakes then you are reliable to make the same mistakes over and over again.
Remember your experiences in life so that you can avoid some of tomorrow's pit falls.

Brice Point: Often in school, our beloved, educated teachers informs students that history will always repeat itself. "History is filled with past mistakes." It doesn't make sense for me to repeat the same mistakes that my father made in his life. My history should teach me what to avoid so that I can become greater then my history. Do not become subject to the slavery mentality where you have to repeat history. Be greater then your parents and roll models.

You are shaped and there isn't anybody who can say anything different!

Be Shaped, Be Shaped, Be Shaped

I'm Shaped
I'm Shaped
I'm Shaped

I hope and pray that this series has blessed your life as it did mines.

WELL WELL, can I say ...?

First, I would like to congratulate the Lakers for a job well-down. Now for all those who I spoke to about this series, May I please ask you a question: "can I say..."

I TOLD YOU SO!

Kobe Bryant isn't Michael Jordan! Can we please cease from trying to make a comparison between the two? Kobe Bryant is an excellent player, however, he will never win a championship all by himself. (He needed Shaq, that's the bottom line). Next year, either the Knicks or the Nuggets are going to take it. Any Questions?

Shout outs: Bro. Landrum (I had your back, have fun at the parade), all those who were in denial (N.Y friends), and SPECIALLY to my Cali friends for their faith in the Lakers. Oh yeah, my main man James, Dallas, TX. His a Kobe fan (well, I guess you can change your myspace layout, lol).

Congratulations to the Boston Celtics!

Peace ~ Feels good to be from the Northeast sometimes.

Reactions towards the next President of the United States

Hello all, specially to those who are interested in our government. Watch the video and answer these questions:

What would be some of the reactions towards the next President of the United States?
If Mr. McCain were to become President, what would be the reaction of the world?
If Mr. Barark were to become President, what would be the reaction of the world?

I'm Shaped Part II

"I'm Shaped" Part II is a continuation of Part I. You should read Part I before you read Part II.

Rick Warren continues his presentation by sharing all the qualities that we have from God.

Spiritual Gifts
Heart
Abilities
Personality
Experience
(Warren, 236)

Spiritual Gifts
God has given everyone a Spiritual Gift(s). The gift(s) are present(s) that we did not earn or deserve. God has given us a gift(s) before we were born and it is our job to figure out what is our gift(s). "An unopened gift is worthless (Warren, 237)." There is a job for you on this earth that needs to be accomplished only by the special gift(s) that God has given to you.

Brice Point: Notice the way I wrote "gift(s)". I believe that a gift is given to everyone; however, some may have more than one gift. Which would indicate that God has given some more than one gifts. Do not become jealous of anybody else's gift(s). Appreciate what you have and use it to accomplish your task. When you focus on someone else gift(s), you become stagnant in your position while the other person is moving towards success.

One may ask: How can I discover my gifts?
Simply, you would have to pay attention to those moments where people "thank you" for that special act of concern, love,or compassion. When do people say "you helped me a lot, thanks for being there, I do not know of anybody else who can do it like you do." Have you ever recieve those words of affirmation that show love and appreciation. Think about it.

Heart
God has also given us a "Heart." Physically we all have a heart. We all have a heartbeat; however all of our heartbeats are different. However, I'm not here to talk about the physical heart, but the mental heart. "We need the physical heart to live but we need the mind to be successful ~ S.J Brice" What is your passion in life? God has given all of us a mind to think with. Someone once said, "Think, it isn't illegal yet." We all have the right to think for ourselves.

Where is our focus?
Your focus should be on your spiritual gifts.
Your focus should be on the mission that you have to accomplish before your life is over.
Your focus should be on Glorifying God and being a blessing to others.

Stay Tune ~ Peace
