The Young Lion's Birthday.

I have certainly enjoyed 21 years of living. Years filled with much learning, excitement, laughs, disappointments, pain, lessons, growth, peace, understanding, wisdom and much more.

I'm so thankful to God for allowing me to see 21 years of life and I look forward to seeing Greatness in the near future through my submission to God's will. I thank my family, extended family, friends, associates and enemies. Thank you for blessing this young man with an awesome birthday. I appreciate the love from EVERYONE!

The Beauty and Application of Lions

The King of the Jungle
* Defends their territory
* Roar to promote fear and literally chase off any intruders
* Aggressive
* They dominate and promote fear in all other animals

Lioness

* They are prime hunters
* They work to together to attack their prey
* Each lion begins to develop their own unique role that's specific to contributing to the success of killing the intended prey

Lions are seen to be affectionate, playful, humble and successful. With their stereotypical fierce outer appearance yet a soft, community driven spirit, it is no wonder that lions are used as metaphors to represent sporting teams, community centres and countries alike.

Brice Point: There are so many applications that I've gained from Lions that has promoted success in my life. Though Lions aren't the most favored animals, Lions have character traits that are worth considering when it comes to improving one's character.

Many ask why do I call myself "The Young Lion"?
A Young Lion is filled with energy, vigor, and often times seen to be aggressive, purpose & goal driven; however, the young lion in all his vigor and might is surely "wet behind his ears". In others words, he has a lot to learn.

Therefore, I've embraced a new nickname. "The Young Lion"

A Dream that came True

“It was all a dream; I use to read Word up magazine…” – Juicy, by Biggie Smalls
(Surely my dream has come true)

What a great time of worship, fellowship (re-uniting with old friends), relationships (beginning of new associations), excitement as well as a time of much learning, and relevance (ministry).

I have completed a six week internship with Bro. Billy Curl and the Crenshaw church of Christ. What an EXPLOSIVE TIME!! Folks, Crenshaw have taught me a great deal of what ministry and church administration looks like in that area. This doesn’t mean, what works for them will work for anyone; however, the principle is that: “you must know who you are, where you are, what you have and use what you got.” I appreciate my sessions/moments with Horace Johnson, Tyson Moore, Billy Curl, Orlander Thomas (big bro), Sabira (Big Little Sis, he he), Candace (big sis), Momma Curl, the elders, and everyone else (to many to name).

Side Joke: I was trying to squeeze as much knowledge as I can from Bro. Curl, and his response was: “just watch us…” This was my first lesson – OBSERVATION!

The Youth Adults of the California churches of Christ are spiritual, intelligent, purposeful, family orientated group of Christians. They have showed this New Yorker so much love. I really appreciate: the night outs, fellowship, sightseeing, going away party WOW (By the way, the picture on the right shows that 'pops' and I was sharing a N.Y beat down on modesty and shariff in spades), and other things we did. I’m looking forward into seeing great things happening in California through the avenue of these youth adults. I Love you guys, and I’ll be back!

I would like to also give shout outs to the Metro family, Normandie family, North Pasendena and the whole cali crew.

P.S. There is so much that I can say from my heart, but one thing I would like to say to my Cali friends is that “Biggie is better than Pac”! He He

Giving my ALL and ALL

Jesus has touched me in a mighty way. I decided to follow him on December 11, 1999 at a tender age of eleven. Although I’m not where I want to be, I’m thankful that I’m not where I use to be. There are so many blessings I’ve received being in Jesus.

Because of Jesus:

• I have salvation
• I have love
• I have hope
• I have victory
• I have family
• I have a chance
• I have peace
• I have purpose
• I have ...
• I have ...
• I have ...

My Challenge

I’m going to give him all: my TIME, my HEART, my SOUL, my ALL and ALL. While I’m young and vibrant, I’m re-dedicating my life to Jesus. Thank you Jesus!

Enjoy!

Got People Problems? Here's a Quote

Part III of my favorite movie, there is a scene when Michael Corleone and Vincent was in a Helicopter and Vincent had a burning desire to kill one of his enemies, Joey Zasa. The God-Father Michael Corleone, taught Vincent as well as my self a very valuable lesson.

"Never hate your enemies, it affects your judgement" ~ Michael Corleone

Relook, Revise, Recommit, Reconnect for 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

That's the excitement we all have when one year ends and ushers in a new year. Often, were excited, motivated, and empowered to reach for the skies and "hit the ground running." However, we often get caught in the hype of the New Year and were off to a great start, but some where down the line we begin to slow down, relax, and some perhaps even dare to 'chill out.'

What happened?
The reason why we slow down and forget about the new mission for the new year is because our hype is like sugar and our focus is like seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). Sugar keeps one up all night studying and seasons enjoys their spot light for a moment and waits until the next year.

Of Course we should have "sugar" to pump us up, but our focus should be like a Curry chicken stain on a white tee-shirt. Get my drift? lol

Brice Point: Do not repeat 2008 in 2009

Personal Application: Brice you better not repeat 2008 in 2009!

Folks:
Let's Relook, Revise, Recommit, and Reconnect to the Fire, Purpose and Goals for 2009!

P.S. for my English majors, I know "Relook" is not a word. Just go with the flow. lol

A God Ordained Vacation

WOW!! What a week? What a relief? What a time? WHAT A VACATION?! Normally, I do not write a blog about my travels, but I couldn't help myself, I just had to write something. March 15h - 23rd, friends and associates of mines traveled to Oklahoma City. This was a time which was well spent and well deserved.

Shout Outs:
*A yo B.E.L.T.S, we are on fire. This is a group of individuals who entered SwCC with me as freshmens. We have decided to meet together once a year, (although separated throughout the year) for the purpose of relaxing, having fun, fellowship, being of service to the community and the church. We pulled off OKLAHOMA CITY! (More information is coming soon in terms of our purpose statement and mission statement).

B.E.L.T.S - Building Effective Lives Through Servitude. Watch out world, were coming to a city near you!

Throughout the week, I've been blessed to reunite with important people.

** Bro. Dwanye Case, is surely a young man that a young man need in his life. A young preacher that a young preacher need in his life. I really appreciate Dwanye for seating down with me and sharing his wisdom. Case, I will not forget that "Vision is the big picture, purpose is my roll, the mission is the stragedy.
Wah Gwan Brethren: Peace, love and nappiness.

*Through out the week, I've been blessed to seat down and have lunch with the God-Father of all God-Father's. My mentor father in the Gospel, Bro. Arnelious Crenshaw. Now, honestly I really do not know how to express in words what occurred at the table and in the car.
1. It was a spanking, lol
2. It was Challenging
3. It was Purposeful
4. It was out of LOVE.
Thanks grandpa, lol - Joking. P.S, the ribs was the bomb brother.

*Throughout the week, I've been blessed to seat with a good brother, a brother that the brotherhood needs. Bro. Ray Owens have been a blessing in my life. Bro. Owens challenged my mind in areas of ministry and personal relationships. Bro. Owens, I appreciate the fact that you're always trying to look out for me. I know for a fact that when I fall, I have someone to pick me up. Thanks my brother.

* A.C Christman, my big bro. Whats good? It is always a great time of fellowship and learning when I'm with my brother. Yea, I know we didn't get the chance to go fishing, lol - maybe next time I can show you how to fish (lol, it's really the other way around). It was awesome to see him working, working, but never too busy to chill out with his lil brother. Thanks bro., Thank God for you.

******* B.E.L.T.S ********
The group that made it all happen. We sang together, study the Word together, played sports together, ate tooooooo much together, laughed together, was upset together, and sometimes even bored together (lol). I love you guys.

*Girls, yall pranked us real good, but we are coming back for you guys.
*Justin, that meat was out of this world. Guys, Justin is our new BBQ man.

_______________________________________________

Even on my vacation, I ended up preaching although I didn't want to (bad preacher, lol).

Graham Street church of Christ - thanks so much for your love.

Green Pastures church of Christ - The Spirit was in that place. All I know is that something happened in there and it wasn't my fault. Guys, thank you so much for all that you did. Specially for dealing with my brooklyn accent.

Northeast church of Christ - you guys are always putting me to work, teaching and preaching. Also for those who know how long I preach, I've preached for around 10 minutes there! See, God is still working with me. Thank you guys, I love you.

Guys (readers), there are soooo much I can say, but I hope this is enough info to show you how much this past week meant to me.

It was truly a God-Ordained Vacation, but its time to get to Work!

More Pics are on the way. Stay Tune!

Thats what I'm talking about!

This is exactly what the world needs!

*A Sheppard who doesn't mind the sheep coming and dwelling in his tabernacle.

LET'S MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE!!! YOU GO MR. PRESIDENT! Show us how its done!

Psalms 24: "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein"

Romans 8:16-17 ~ "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

I'm greater than my Daddy !

I remember when I was around sixteen years old and I was sitting in a men's class at church. At that age, I hardly paid attention to anything dealing with church, lol. However, I remembered the preacherman quoting someone else saying:

"A Wise person learns from his/her mistakes.
The Wiser learns from someone else mistakes.
The Wisest learns from someone else SUCCESS."

This quote has followed me all the days of my life. I can't run away from it, but one thing I can do in life is be greater than my father, greater than my mother, greater than my mentors, greater than big brothers, and even be greater than my enemies.

The 'school master(teachers)' teach their students that "history repeat itself." I beg to differ!

When I watch, listen and learn from the mistakes and successes of my father, I should not do exactly what he did, but do more than he did.

Let's think GREAT, walk GREAT, be GREAT !

One Love, PEACE
