A moment in my life right now (6/15/11):
Sometimes the journey you want to travel is the journey that God is protecting you from.
The journey (or place) I wanted to be surrounded by and embrace was filled with things, people, and culture. My inner spiritual community is there, my favorite restaurant is there, a couple of "church homes" are there. BUT that place isn't where God wants me to be. What do I do? Do I force myself to make things happen so I can go where I want to go or do I accept, submit, and trust God to lead me where I need to be for His glory? The answer is obvious, but often times the flesh desires to fulfill itself.
Perhaps, because of my limited vision, I can't see the dangers of going where I want to go. Perhaps there are traps on that journey that may separate, hinder, and even stop me from living out the purpose of God. I must accept, submit and trust.
God is directing me on the right journey which will set me up for what He is calling me to do in life. It does get difficult sometimes, but I must be about His agenda rather than my own. I must accept, submit and trust.
~ A Young Lion's moment
This is a prayer that I often heard a preacher pray while growing up. It has now become my prayer:

"Lord use me up doing good and send me home when your done. In Jesus name, Amen"
I must accept, submit, and trust this:
For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 - New Living Translation
