Jesus, as recorded, died for the sins of the world. He was buried in a tomb, however he rose out of the grave alive. When Jesus rose out of the grave he told his disciples "All power is given unto me..."; He mentioned this powerful statement in spite of some of his disciples unbelief (Matthew 28:18).
There are many lessons in the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. One lesson I believe that can empower, encourage, and edify anyone is that "WE HAVE POWER!" When Jesus died, he entered into Satan's territory to win a fight that we could not win ourselves. For those who have been baptized for the remission of their sins, that same power that rose Jesus out of the grave is the same power that God has given us. (Of course this lesson has so many points within itself, however it is best that I keep it brief).
For those who are in a relationship with God through Jesus (Christians), we have power over life's situations. Christ has conquered death, the grave and the devil. Due to that fact, I can conquer any situation that I go through. For those who are not a christian, you should want to become one so that you will be able to inherit this power that God has in store for you.
Brice Point: Often in life we repeat comments such as: "he/she made me mad!"; "this problem has a toll on me"; "I can't function right because of what I'm going through" and much more. Folks, what we are really saying is that 'he/she is controlling my mood.' 'My problems changes my entire way of thinking.'
Since Christ has all power, and I'm in a relationship with God through Jesus, then I have power as well. I should not allow someone else dictate how I should feel the next moment. Situations should never have power over my mind. We allow problems and situations to control us.
If we have power, and Christ won our battle, then we can conqueror every situation that we encounter in life. I'm not going to 'have a nice day' but I'm going to 'make a nice day.'
All I want to say is that we have power through Jesus Christ and life should not bring us to the point where we step out of a powerful position into a powerless position.
I challenge all to be empowered to use their power to conquered life. Do not allow life to conqueror you; remember you have power. Wake in the morning and say:
I HAVE POWER!
