History has been made, and hopefully we all will cherish these moments. As a young man, I realize that many have died for this moment and I shouldn't take this for granted. Our ancestors, hundreds of years ago, faced pain, punishment, disrespect, mistreatment so that you and I may have the liberty to vote.

I can't help myself, but it reminds me of Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus faced the punishment that we deserved so that you and I can have freedom to live life with purpose, faith, endurance and hope. Due to what Jesus faced thousands of years ago, I can look forward to facing God on the day of Judgement and hear him say 'Well done thou good and faithful servant.' Thank you Jesus.
